Arriving Monday Aug 21 several dozen sheep were dropped off and are eating the fields of grass and plants on our hill. They will be followed by goats arriving later that will finish off the larger plants. In addition there may be a llama or two to help protect the sheep from coyotes. The sheep and goats are kept in place by electric fencing that is moved to clear portions of the fields. The animals will be on our hill for about four weeks.
We want to thank Goats To Go of Georgetown for their donation that will save us significant funds we normally have to pay to cut down the fields in the Fall. Please think of Goats To Go for your own yard or weed problems. They can be reached at 508-451-1987.
