Adopt-a-Space 2025 with the Conservation Commission: Help Groveland Bloom

Groveland’s Conservation Commission is inviting residents, businesses, and community groups to sponsor public spaces across town, from trailheads and garden beds to flower boxes and roadside plantings. It’s part of a town-wide beautification effort that celebrates stewardship, creativity, and civic pride.

What’s Involved

Participants commit to maintaining a designated public space throughout the growing season. Responsibilities may include:

  • Planting native flowers or shrubs

  • Watering and weeding

  • Light cleanup or seasonal refreshes

Groups provide their own signage to identify their adopted space and share their name. (e.g., “Sponsored by the Smith Family.”) Signage must follow Commission guidelines for size and placement.

Available Spaces

The Conservation Commission has released a list of adoptable locations for 2025, including:

  • Trail entrances

  • Roadside garden beds

  • Flower boxes near town buildings

Select areas at Veasey Park include:

  • Veasey Park granite sign garden -- 2025 maintained by Lovely Earth Gardening

  • Veasey Park entrance flower boxes -- 2025 maintained by Lovely Earth Gardening

  • Veasey Park boat launch -- available

  • Veasey Park driveway circle -- 2025 maintained by the Groveland Democratic Town Committee

To view the full list and learn more, visit the Town of Groveland Conservation Commission page or contact the Commission directly at 978-556-7207 or concomm@grovelandma.com.

Why It Matters

Adopt-a-Space is more than just planting flowers, it’s about building community, supporting pollinators, and making Groveland a little more beautiful for everyone. Whether you’re a scout troop, a local business, or a family a green thumb, this is a chance to leave a visible, positive mark on the town we all share.
